GoPro today announced its third camera in the Mission 1 series, the Mission 1 Pro ILS is now available at retailers and online.
The Mission 1 Pro ILS blends the reliability and flexibility of a GoPro with the creative freedom of interchangeable lens systems.
The system is small enough to deliver better flexibility in rigging, allowing filmmakers to place a camera into tight spaces more easily than with full-size cinema cameras.
Mission 1 Pro ILS is available now for RRP $1099.95 or $949.95 with an active GoPro subscription.
Micro Four Thirds
Built on the Micro Four Thirds platform, there’s a wide range of lens options from a multitude of brands like Olympus OM System, Panasonic Leica DG, Sigma, and many more.
Cine lenses on the MFT platform like the Meike T2.2 prime set deliver gorgeous results and geared focus rings for smooth control. Anamorphic lenses are also available that produce a cinematic look with oval bokeh and horizontal flares.
Imaging Hardware
The GoPro Mission 1 Pro ILS shares much of its hardware with the standard Mission 1 Pro; it’s a 50-megapixel 1-inch sensor system with an ultra-efficient GP3 processor that enables up to 8K60, 4K240, and 1440p480 video.
Professional-grade colour and dynamic range are supported with 10-bit Log encoding and HLG HDR with bitrate up to 240Mbps.

Usability
GoPro’s companion software Quik makes it easy to deal with footage right on your phone. Alongside the new camera, the Mission Monitor app provides a live preview on iPhone or iPad, allowing creators to verify focus more easily.
MIssion Monitor’s features include focus peaking highlights, zebra pattern for exposure, real-time LUT previews, shot overlays, and even camera controls for adjusting capture mode and toggling recording.
The new 2150 mAh battery delivers over 3 hours of continuous 4K30 recording on a single charge with rapid charging available for quick top ups.
