Square Enix and PS3? Not Until Next Year…

If you own a PlayStation 3 and love Square Enix’s Final Fantasy games, you’ll be waiting a while.

If you’re a PlayStation 3 owner and you’re looking forward to the next Square Enix game like a new Final Fantasy or a new Kingdom Hearts game, you might want to go look for some new hope somewhere else.

Japanese publication Nihon Keizai Shimbun reports that Square Enix won’t be releasing anything on the PlayStation 3 this financial year which doesn’t end until March 31.

That’s bad news for anyone that was hoping for some new Final Fantasy storyline that takes advantage of the PS3’s power.
