Beatle, John Lennon has made an appearance from the grave – starring in a new advertisement to support the One Laptop per Child campaign. The campaign aims to deliver solar-powered laptop computers to underprivileged children all over the globe.

The campaign uses a digitised version of Lennon to present its message to viewers.

“Imagine every child no matter where in the world they were could access a universe of knowledge,” says Lennon.
“They would have a chance to learn, to dream, to achieve anything they want. I tried to do it through my music, but now you can do it in a very different way. You can give a child a laptop and more than imagine, you can change the world.”

Lennon’s wife, Yoko Ono, approved the use of Lennon’s voice and likeness in the ad.
