Roborock today announced that the Roborock Saros 20 Series has won a Product Design Domestic Appliance award at the 2026 Australian Good Design Awards held at the International Convention Centre Sydney.

The robot was recognised by the jury for its mop switching mechanism, obstacle climbing ability, and high temperature mop washing system. Additionally, they were impressed by its dark visual language, smooth, simple, and minimal form, and its premium character. The jury’s final comments commended the team for creating a thoughtful design worthy of recognition.

The Saros 20’s key features are its intelligent obstacle climbing that can cross thresholds up to 8.8 centimetres integrated seamlessly into the chassis. Roborock StarSight 2.0 allows the robot to recognise over 300 types of obstacle, allowing it to navigate the home more easily on its own without getting stuck on objects.

Australian Good Design Awards

The Australian Good Design Awards recognise products, architecture, devices, appliances, and furniture for design excellence across categories including environment, communication design, concepts, fashion, policy, service, and social impact. Each project is evaluated for Good Design, Design Innovation, and Design Impact.
