Yamaha AV App Adds iPad And Android Tablet Connectivity
- Free update for AV app
- Compatible with Yamaha gear
- More easy to navigate
Yamaha’s has updated its AV Controller app to version 3.0, which now has an optimised interface for iPad and Android tablets. It now allows frequently used icons to be moved to more accessible locations within the app similar to moving apps around on an iPad or iPhone. The result is a home theatre experience tailored to the specific needs of the user, says Yamaha.
The AV Controller app’s reconfigured multi-pane layout uses the iPad/Android tablet screen size to enable single-window operation in either landscape or portrait orientation. Users are also able to customise the order of input and function icons, as well as personalise the wallpaper with an image of their own.
A navigation menu in the left margin provides access to the receiver’s most used functions while a status bar showing input and DSP mode occupies the top of screen. Yamaha’s Music Play feature – the ability to stream music from the handheld device directly to the receiver – is also represented by an icon located in the top right of screen.
Compatible with Yamaha’s range of network Blu-ray players, the AV Controller app’s redesigned user interface now displays all controls and options on a single iPad or Android tablet screen.
Version 3.0 of the AV Controller app is available as a free update from the App Store and Android
