Well, it was going to happen sooner or later. A student taking an entrance exam to get into one of three Japanese universities decided to get some outside help during the test. He or she went onto the Pearls of Wisdom site using a mobile phone and posted questions from the exam online as they were taking it. The Japanese authorities take this kind of thing very seriously and are getting the police involved. Is it just me, or am I missing something? Surely the kids are searched for such devices before entering the exam room?

Oh how fickle the whims of teenage fandom can be. Just ask teenage heart throb Justin Bieber. The teen who has a truckful – and then some – of Twitter followers found out that image is everything. After debuting a new haircut on US national television 80,000 of his fans apparently unfollowed him on his Twitter page. And here’s me thinking that they finally released the screaming dwarf has little or no talent. Oh, well, wonder how many fans he’d lose if he started wearing Stubbies.
Charlie Wins
Then again, maybe Bieber's fans jumped ship to follow the human headline that is Charlie Sheen. The Two and a Half Men actor decided to set up a Twitter account two days ago and now has a staggering 1.3 million followers. Remember the months it took Oprah Winfrey and Ashton Kutcher as they raced each other to be the first celebrity to exceed one million followers on the social network hub? Yet the allegedly drug taking, womanising, beer-swilling Sheen just has to open his mouth and he sucks up followers like a Dyson vacuum cleaner. I don’t know if a Twitter account was the best thing for him to get into, and one wonders if he’ll publish anything he regrets later – especially when it comes to custody of his kids.
Apple Supplier Compensates Poisoned Workers
Wintek, a Taiwanese-based company, is putting aside US$1.5 million dollars to compensate 137 workers who were poisoned by the chemical N-hexane while working in a factory that makes touchscreens for Apple products. The chemical is used to clean touchscreens and has since been banned from use. This comes of the back of much publicised suicides at another factory used by Apple, Hon Hai Precision Industry, which assembles iPads, iPhones and iPods. Still, the bad news has little or no effect on the share price of Apple. Its seems the House that Mac built can do no wrong for investors.
