Wireless noise-cancelling headphones for under AUD$200

Philips is bringing two new pairs of noise-cancelling headphones to Australia this week, including a wireless model that will set customers back AUD$199.95.

The creatively named SHB8850NC (pictured above) and SHL3850NC feature 32nm neodymium drivers, and Philips' ActiveShield noise-cancellation technology. This uses between two and four microphones to listen out for ambient noise, and can reduce it by approximately 20 decibels.

SHB8850NC is Philips' wireless model, and pairs to devices over Bluetooth. It's said to provide 16 hours of wireless, noise-cancelling playback, 28 hours of wireless playback with no noise-cancellation, and 33 hours of noise-cancelling playback with Bluetooth switched off.

The SHB8850NC is priced at AUD$199.95, and available from Harvey Norman, Officeworks, and JR Duty.

SHL3850NC is a smaller pair of wired, collapsible, noise-cancelling headphones. The pair is powered by AAA batteries, and can last up to 40 hours on one set. Philips is selling the SHL3850NC exclusively through Officeworks at an asking price of AUD$129.95.
