Windows RT Update Halted Due To Installation Problems

Windows RT isn’t really the best-selling product on Microsoft’s line-up, so it could really use all the help it can get, especially from the Windows RT 8.1 update. Unfortunately, it seems isn’t on RT’s side as Microsoft has been forced to temporarily pause the rollout of Windows RT 8.1 when a number of consumers complained about installation problems.

To be specific, the damage is said to be related to users’ boot data rendering Windows RT device useless until recovered. Since then, Microsoft has removed the update from the Windows Store and has issued an official statement.

Microsoft is now investigating the situation and is working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. There’s no specific information yet on when the roll out will resume but a speedy fix will most certainly help to get the stress of Windows RT.
