Vodafone offers 30 day money back guarantee to new customers

Vodafone is hoping to lure new customers to its phone network with a 30 day money back guarantee. Under the guarantee, any new post-paid customer is able to cancel their contract within the first 30 days, with no questions asked. Vodafone says it will refund any monthly access fees and handset repayments paid by the customer, provided the device is returned to Vodafone with 10 days of making the claim.

"As smartphones have become an essential tool in our everyday lives, we believe consumers deserve assurance that they’ll have a great network experience where they live, work and play," said Vodafone Chief Marketing Officer Loo Fun Chee. "If they don’t, they should be able to walk away no questions asked. We know this is a pain point for consumers and businesses, and one we are committed to addressing."

There are however a few small catches. Customers can only make one claim per calendar year, and fees paid for additional services (such as AUD$5 per day international roaming) will not be refunded. Accessories purchased through Vodafone will not be refunded either.

Vodafone's 30 day money back guarantee is available to new customers signing up for post-paid plans, and business customers with up to nine connections.
