Uber delivering kittens across six Australian cities

Ride sharing service Uber today announced that it will be delivering kittens to homes and offices around Australia for 15 minute play sessions. Dubbed #UberKittens, the promotion will run for four hours between 12pm and 4pm in each participating city's local time. Once #UberKittens goes live, users will be able to request "kittens" through their iOS, Android or Windows Phone Uber apps.

Uber's kitten service is billed at AUD$40 per delivery and is available in Sydney, Melbourne, Geelong, Perth, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. All money raised via the promotion will be donated to participating animal shelters. Users reluctant to part with their Uber kitten will have the option of adopting it.
