Just a few days after Twitter’s plan on putting a music service was announced, the social network is reportedly in talks with a number of TV networks to host TV clips and sell advertising on its site.

According to reports, the company is nearing an agreement with Viacom and NBC Universal to put a video streaming service on its website and split the resulting ad revenue with these networks.

ESPN, the Weather Channel LLC and Turner Broadcasting System have already partnered with Twitter by providing different forms content so closing a deal with Viacom and NBC Universal will certainly help the company to diversify from a micro blogging platform to a multimedia company.
