Twitter addicts might welcome the micro-blogging site’s newest addition to the desktop version of its website.
In the next couple of weeks, Twitter will be adding a new notification bubble on its website that will show retweets, favourites and even replies. Users will also receive notifications for direct messages and new followers.
But unlike Facebook’s real-time notifications, the Twitter notification bubbles will be fully interactive and users will be able to reply to tweets from within the bubble.
Now in case the current style of how Twitter notifies you of things happening in your account, you’ll be pleased to know that the windowed-notifications can be turned off from the settings section of Twitter.
