Consumers can access YouTube with a hot-key allowing them to view and share video content with friends and family wherever they live. Other seamless connectivity benefits include Toshiba’s DLNA capability, enabling content from a DLNA compatible device such as a Toshiba notebook to be streamed directly to the TV, bringing to life your entertainment choices of photos, movies and home videos. Other notebook content such as email and Powerpoint are also easily streamed to the TV.
Available in 42-inch, 47-inch and 55-inch, the XL700A comes with a 3M:1 dynamic contrast ratio LED. The Autoview technology combines environmental considerations with high image quality, claims Toshiba. It automatically analyses lighting conditions in the room and the incoming video signal to create the optimal picture in all lighting conditions.
Resolution + automatically up-scales a standard definition input (such as a DVD) to resolution that is close to high definition to optimise the picture onscreen.
Dolby Volume sound quality ensures a consistent volume level, claims Toshiba, even during commercials or when changing channels.
Photo Frame capability lets consumers effortlessly view photos in an automatic slide show allowing the TV to act as both a TV and a digital photo frame.
Another energy saving feature is the Auto Power Down function. If the TV has been on for four hours it will automatically turn itself off.
