TomTom For Footie Fans

GPS manufacturer TomTom has added footie content to its GPS devices

TomTom users can choose content from all 16 NRL teams and AFL clubs and show their support with startup and shutdown screens, mascots as driving icons, footy warning sounds and more in a newly released package from the company.

In addition, anyone who purchases a TomTom GPS unit until Sept 12th has the chance to win the Ultimate 2009 Toyota AFL Grand Final Experience for two.

“TomTom is helping footy fans support their team at finals time with great downloads with official club logos and team mascots and more,” said Chris Kearney, Marketing Manager TomTom Australia and New Zealand. “Through our free TomTom HOME software, our users can download lots of great AFL and NRL team content including imagery and footy sounds to cheer on their team to make it to the big day in September.”

The TomTom/Whereis footy team packs are available for all NRL and AFL clubs and include:

  • Start up and shut down screens with your favourite AFL and NRL logos
  • Team or club mascots to use as driving icons
  • All the NRL and AFL grounds as a point of interest set to help you find your way to the next away game

  • A referee or umpire whistle to warn you of the next speed or red light camera
  • A crowd roar as you reach your destination
