The 20th Anniversary PlayStation 4 is beautiful, here’s how to get one

Sony celebrated the PlayStation's 20th Anniversary over the weekend and unveiled a special edition PlayStation 4 to commemorate the occasion. The 20th Anniversary PlayStation 4 boasts a retro-grey paint job with matching controller and camera, mimicking the original PlayStation. Only 12,3000 units of the 20th Anniversary PlayStation 4 will be made, a nod to the PlayStation's launch date: December 3, 1994.

While American and European customers have had the opportunity to purchase a piece of Sony history, the 20th Anniversary PlayStation 4 will not be commercially available in Australia. PlayStation die-hards will instead have the chance to win one via contests being run by local retailers.

JB HiFi is giving away 10 20th Anniversary PlayStation 4 consoles, requiring participants to vote for their top five PlayStation titles. Entries close this Sunday.

EB Games is giving away 20 consoles, asking entrants to explain why they are Australia's biggest PlayStation fan. 10 winners will be announced on December 12, and the remaining 10 on December 17.

Sony is giving away 20 consoles, requiring entrants to upload a photo of what PlayStation means to them. Entries close on December 19; two winners will be chosen every day during the contest period.

GameSpot has a single console to giveaway, and is asking readers to submit their favourite PlayStation memory. Entries close on December 18

To date, Sony has been announcing these contests via its PlayStation Australia Twitter account.
