Artificial intelligence researcher David Levy speculates that future robots will be so human-like that we won’t be able to stop ourselves from falling in love and having intimate relations with them. The thesis earned Levy a doctorate and based itself on around 450 publications studying psychology, sexology, sociology, robotics and more. It also looked at changing attitude towards human intimacy saying that as we become more liberal in the way we think, the barriers will fall for human-robot relations.
