Spider-Man will return to the big screen to spin his web once more with the news that Tobey Maguire has signed on to deliver two more sequels shot back to back.

Spider-Man will return to the big screen to spin his web once more with the news that Tobey Maguire has signed on to deliver two more sequels shot back to back.

The films will be directed by Sam Raimi and produced by Avi Arid and Laura Ziskin.
Columbia Tristar/Sony Pictures will distribute the film – with Spider-Man 4 slated for release on May 11 2011. Shooting is expected to commence in October of next year.

It is not yet confirmed whether Kirstin Dunst will return to reprise her role as Mary Jane.

Spider-Man is Sony’s most successful movie franchise of all time, grossing 2.5 billion in world wide box office.
