Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact gets Australian pricing

Sony today revealed that its Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact will retail for AUD$499. The price refers to the 16GB WiFi only variant of Sony's 8-incher; local availability of the 32GB or 4G-enabled models has yet to be confirmed. A release date for the tablet has yet to be set.

The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact boasts a 2.5GHZ quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM and a 4500mAh battery. As with the Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact, Sony's new tablet features PlayStation 4 Remote Play and is water-proof and dust tight. The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact weighs just 270g and is 6.4mm thick.
