Sony just unveiled its newest mid-range Android phone – the Xperia M.
The smartphone packs a 4.0-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chip which features a 1GHz dual-core processor complemented by an Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
The Xperia M runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with the company’s proprietary skin on top. The phone will also sport dual-band Wi-Fi, 3G connectivity, Bluetooth v4.0, NFC and a FM radio. Sony is advertising the device as a phone with “magical one-touch functions” which comes courtesy of the Xperia’s NFC functionality combined with some dedicated sharing apps.
There will also be a dual-SIM version of the Xperia M which will be available in black, white and purple. The single-SIM version on the other hand will offer an extra lime colour option. There is no available information yet on the price of both models but they are expected to hit shelves in the coming months.
