Sony Reveals New Xperia Range Of Phones

Sony revealed its three next Xperia smartphones – the T, V, and J – during a press conference at IFA Berlin 2012, all packed with Android 4.0.

The flagship Sony Xperia T has a 4.6-inch Reality display and powered by Mobile BRAVIA engine and 1.5GHZ dual-core processor. This phone is also NFC connectivity-enabled for easy data sharing and paring of phones.

The flagship Sony Xperia T has a 4.6-inch Reality display and powered by Mobile BRAVIA engine and 1.5GHZ dual-core processor. This phone is also NFC connectivity-enabled for easy data sharing and paring of phones.

The phone comes with a 13-megapixel camera with 16x digital zoom and 1080p HD video recording. Its front facing camera provides 720p HD video chatting prowess. The Xperia T is also said to be the phone that James Bond will be using in the upcoming Skyfall movie. Also included are DLNA, HDMI, and GPS in the phone. Also, the phone is a PlayStation certified.

The Sony Xperia V is next in the range with a 4.3-inch Reality Display and powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, ClearAudio+ for improved sound and High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging. The HDR imaging functionality gives the most optimal photo settings, applies image processing, and including layered technology for great imaging results.

While sharing many of the same features of the Xperia T, this phone, it is claimed to be the best in the range for being dust and water resistant. As well as a 13-megapixel camera like Xperia T, it has an expandable memory and 1.5GHz dual-core processor.

Meanwhile, the Sony Xperia J is the entry level smartphone of all three and it includes a 4-inch display, a 5-megapixel camera with GPS, DLNA and Bluetooth. It has a 1GHz processor and a memory card slot to allow memory to be expanded up to 32 gigabytes.

Xperia T is set for release in the next couple of weeks while Xperia V and J will be shipping before the year ends.
