This brings the benefits of catch-up TV and internet video to Australians who may have recently purchased a TV that is not IPTV-enabled. They can now enjoy the best of both worlds – the picture quality that Blu-ray delivers and the convenience of TV on your terms.
The BRAVIA Internet Video channels can be accessed through the XrossMediaBar interface on the Blu-ray players or Blu-ray home theatre systems and viewed on most HD TVs. There are currently 19 live channels to choose from, with Yahoo!7 and SBS the latest additions.
Sony’s Blu-ray home theatre systems are Full HD 3D, allowing viewers to watch their favourite movies and special event broadcasts in 3D or playback high definition Blu-ray 3D content on their 3D capable television.
The black and glossy range offers the finest home entertainment experience available. All models are DLNA compatible with a wireless LAN and users can also connect their iPod or other compatible storage devices via the integrated USB port for playback of music, movies or photos.
The top of the range BDVE970W features four 5.1 inch full-tall boy speakers to ensure a good home theatre experience. Alternatively, for those eager to discover the possibilities of Full HD 3D, the BDPS470 or BDPS570 can be paired with a 3D Full HD LCD TV for the ultimate at-home 3D viewing experience. The BDPS570 also features built-in WiFi, allowing users to connect to BRAVIA Internet Video without worrying about cables.
