Sharp outs its 32-inch IGZO monitor with 4k resolution and pen support – the PN-K322B.

The monitor has a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and features Sharp’s IGZO technology and an edge-lit LED backlight which made it possible for Sharp to fit the entire LCD panel in a bod just 36mm thick. The monitor comes with an included stand that allows it to slide easily between two modes, one for viewing while the other for onscreen writing.

The PN-K322B also features a palm cancellation function that prioritises the pen input even when the user’s hand is resting on the touchscreen. Connectivity options for the monitor include the latest DisplayPort, HDMI and USB.

There is no word on pricing yet but it’s most likely that it will be priced at US$3500 at the very least just like the Asus PQ321 which became available for pre-order two days ago.

The PN-K322B is scheduled to hit Japan on July 30th and although no information about shipments to other markets have been announced, an increase in the number of manufacturer utilising the technology is a good sign that UHD products are bound to reach the masses in the near future.
