Now you can share files easily on Facebook Groups through the popular cloud storage service Dropbox.

The two companies have partnered to have file sharing on Facebook Groups, allowing users to instantly post uploaded notes, videos, schedules, or photos directly onto the Group's wall once the Facebook and Dropbox accounts are linked.

A notification will be sent to Group members whenever the shared file is edited. And because this is Facebook, recipients will also be able to like and comment on a post as they normally would.

Naturally, files will need to be uploaded through one of the various Dropbox apps before they can be offered to the group. You can then do a search on Dropbox for the files you want to share on the Facebook group. Documents, photos, and videos shared from Dropbox will show up on the group’s wall and will be visible via mobiles and tablets as well.

You don’t have to worry about privacy either. According to Dropbox, Facebook does not have access to the contents of their Dropbox. Facebook only receives a link to the file you shared from Dropbox.

"Now you can share notes with your study group, add the latest game schedule to your basketball team's group, or post a birthday video to your family's group at lightning speed from wherever you are," said Dropbox engineer Chris Varenhorst.

The feature is gradually being rolled out.
