Swing Copters, the sequel to surprise-hit app Flappy Bird is due out Thursday according to Touch Arcade. As with Flappy Bird, Swing Copters requires players to tap to keep the game's hero in flight. The goal is the same: get as a far as you can (without breaking your phone). While Flappy Bird had players flying horizontally and avoiding pipes, Swing Copters literally turns the gameplay on its side. Players now fly vertically and avoid hammers swinging from metal girders.

According to Touch Arcade, Swing Copters captures all of the "just one more try" magic of Flappy Bird, and is equally challenging.

Swing Copters will be available for free, but users have the options to remove ads for USD$0.99.

There is still no confirmation as to whether the recently released Flappy Birds Family will launch on any platform other than Amazon's Fire TV.
