Samsung has announced the arrival of the company’s latest LED and Plasma TV series, which allows consumers to be entertained by a wide range of content, take that content virtually anywhere on compatible devices with AllShare Play.

Consumers can access their content in multiple locations with AllShare Play, Samsung’s cloud-storage system for compatible Samsung Smart TVs. AllSharePlay enables consumers to wirelessly access content from their compatible devices in the home, allowing them to enjoy movies, photos and music with friends on their compatible Samsung Smart TV.

With AllShare Play, consumers can pause a movie and watch the rest of it on their compatible Samsung tablet or smartphone during their commute or while sipping coffee at a café.

Some Samsung Smart TVs allow consumers to create their own entertainment schedule with content they like delivered when they want it. Sports fans, music lovers, children, movie enthusiasts and keen catch-up TV fans can enjoy access to various new on-demand services with new TV apps that contain a wide range of local and international content, including:

Foxtel: Watch athletes live at the London 2012 Olympic Games as it is streamed to Australian living rooms on Foxtel, available on select Samsung Smart TVs for the first time. A content offering which offers consumers access to Foxtel channels for ample entertainment options.

Then there is the voice control. Say ‘Hi TV’ to turn on Voice Control, ‘Web Browser’ to open up a webpage and then browse and select search results or increase the volume with grabbing or swiping hand gestures, all from the comfort of the couch. Due to a built-in HD camera and dual-microphones on select models in Samsung’s flagship line of 2012 Smart TVs, consumers are able to communicate with their compatible Samsung Smart TVs via Voice Control, Motion Control, and Face Recognition – providing an alternative to the remote control when it is not desired or convenient.

Samsung’s dual-core processor puts power in the TV, working alongside Micro Dimming technology, to help deliver beautiful pictures with enhanced clarity and contrast. The Series 8’s Micro Dimming feature optimises the LED backlight and video signal for each piece in real time. This allows home entertainment enthusiasts to enjoy rich colours, bright pictures and high contrast ratios.

Users will experience some of the deepest black levels ever achieved on a Samsung Smart TV with the Series 8 Smart Plasma’s Real Black Pro Panel. The new panel combines advancements in the structure of a Samsung plasma panel with software improvements, yielding deep blacks, bold colour, high contrast and exceptional picture quality for an incredible viewing experience.

Smart yet sophisticated, Samsung’s new Smart TV range is complemented by a stunning post-minimalist design, featuring an ultra-slim bezel. The flagship Series 8 Smart LED TV sports a sophisticated, minimalist U-shape stand. Samsung also offers an optional ultra slim wall-mount, allowing consumers to show off their TV’s form factor like a work of art.

Samsung’s Series 8 Plasma TVs combine a black bezel design with enhanced display technologies. It sports a slim 1.5-inch profile and Samsung’s Plasma +1 ultra-slim bezel design, which reduces the gap between the bezel and screen content, yielding more screen display without increasing the size of the TV, as compared to Samsung models without Plasma +1.
