Reports suggest that Samsung may introduce a new series of Galaxy devices that will carry the “Mega” name.

According to rumours, the Korean electronics manufacturing giant are currently working with two Galaxy Mega smartphones. The first device is codenamed Galaxy Mega 5.8 (model GT-I9152) which as the name suggest will probably be a 5.8-inch device. Moreover the model number is also hinting that the device may support two SIM cards.

The second handset is carrying the codename Galaxy Mega 6.3. And again, based on its name alone, the device may sport a 6.3-inch screen, which coincidentally is the same size of another rumoured Samsung phone – the Galaxy Note III. However, the Galaxy Mega 6.3’s model number (GT-I9200) doesn’t correspond to the Galaxy Note’s naming convention so it might be a safe bet that this device will not have S-pen functionality.

According to popular Samsung mobile fan site SamMobile, the Galaxy Mega 5.8 might be announced by the end of May or early June, probably the same time as the announcement of the Galaxy S4 Mini. The Galaxy Mega 6.3 on the other hand might be announced sometime mid-June.
