Samsung might be bringing the clamshell design back into its product line-up as an image of an upcoming smartphone called the Galaxy Folder.

The phone is said to have a normal touchscreen paired with an old-school alphanumeric keypad at the bottom. The phone will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chip with a dual-core processor. It will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and will have a display with a screen resolution of 800×480 pixels.

There’s no additional information yet on other specs of the device as well as its destination market. But nevertheless, Samsung will certainly make a risky move by going back to the clamshell form factor especially when most of the functionality on Android phones is more utilised for touchscreen input. If this leak turns out to be the real deal, we’ll update our website as soon as official information about the device is available.
