The first super camera phone from Samsung – the Galaxy S4 Zoom didn’t really made it big time in the smartphone race primarily because it was too bulky for some to be used as a phone. But if recent leaks about its successor are true, this could certainly give Nokia’s 41MP Lumia 1020 and Oppo’s 50MP Find 7 a run for their money.

The Galaxy S5 Zoom will allegedly be called the Galaxy K Zoom and will sport a more discrete profile, with the lens and camera module no longer protruding from the body in contrast to the Galaxy S4 Zoom. The xenon flash has also been given a makeover, which is now covered with a leather-like texture.

The zoom capability of the phone is at 10x zoom covering the 24-240mm range in 35mm equivalent and the camera’s resolution is pegged at 20MP.

The rest of the specs of the Galaxy K Zoom include a 4.8-inch 720p display, Android 4.4 KitKat and will be offered in two CPU configurations – one would be a quad-core chip with a CPU clocked at 1.6GHz and the other will be an Exynos chip with a hexa-core configuration.
