Samsung today announced its latest compact camera system that is designed to mediate the company’s very small NX Mini model and the rest of the NX line-up.

Designed as a mid-range camera, the NX3000 features a 20.3MP APS-C sensor.  It has an ISO range of 100-25600, a maximum shutter speed of 1/4000 seconds, a hot shoe for accessories such as a flash.

Just like other cameras in the company’s current range, the NX3000 comes with NFC for pairing with mobile devices as well as Wi-Fi image transfer capability. At the back of the camera lays a 3-inch HVGA (320×480 pixels) display that can be flipped up for taking selfies.

The NX3000 will be packaged with either of two lenses. One will be a 16-50mm stabilised power zoom lens (for US$529), while the other will be the standard 20-50mm kit lens (for US479).
