Samsung Electronics Australia today announced that the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Gear smartwatch will soon be available in the country and will go on sale at selected retail outlets on tomorrow, 3 October 2013.

The Galaxy Gear smartwatch will retail for an RRP of $369 while the Galaxy Note 3 smartphone will sell for an RRP of $999. Samsung is now currently taking pre-orders for both devices, which started a few hours ago.

The two devices were first announced at this year’s IFA in Berlin. The Samsung Galaxy Gear combines smart device connectivity, stylish design and the company’s latest mobile technology in the form of a wrist watch. The Galaxy Gear is the company’s first smartwatch and sports a number of features that aims to be a companion device for Samsung smartphones and gives users more freedom and flexibility.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3, on the other hand is the company’s top of the line phablet that packs more features than its predecessor. It will be delivered with a set of international and local content offerings, some of which will be exclusive to Australia. This includes a Galaxy Note 3 Lifestyle pack that contains entertainment, educations, productivity and security apps designed to suit the unique lifestyles of Australians.

The pack comes with 50GB of bonus cloud storage for two years from Dropbox, 12 months premium access to Evernote, 1 month worth of access to Samsung’s Music Hub, and a range of other content subscriptions designed to improve the device experience for users.

Moreover, Samsung is throwing in a 13-week subscription to The New York Times and access to Bloomberg+ news. Both news content apps have been optimised to offer an enhanced experience using the device’s S Pen. And if that’s not enough, the Galaxy Note 3 also comes with popular premium turn-by-turn voice-guided navigation mobile app, Navigon.
