Samsung is on a roll these past few weeks when it comes to updates to its line of Galaxy Android smartphones. Just a couple of weeks ago, the Korean tech company announced an update to its Galaxy S Duos 2 and Galaxy Win handsets; and it’s also expected to announce the new Galaxy S5 in January. But before the year comes to an end, it looks like Samsung has still managed to upgrade one more handset.

The Galaxy Core Advance is supposed to be the upgraded version of the Galaxy Core model that was released earlier this year. It boasts a 4.7-inch TFT display with WVGA resolution.

The brain of the handset is composed of a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded via a microSD card. There’s also a 5 megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing one. The Galaxy Core Advance will be powered by a 2000mAh battery and will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

There’s no word on pricing and availability yet, but the handset is expected to hit the shelves early 2014 in either Deep Blue or Pearl White.
