Power Up iPad2 On The Run

  • New range of accessories for iPad 2
  • Includes battery back-up device
  • Rubberised cover to protect from shock

Kensington’s PowerLift back-up battery and dock is claimed to give an iPhone hours of extra power, as well as being a hands-free stand. The 1200 mAh battery pack provides rapid charging, while the kickstand flips open to let users have FaceTime chats and videos. Everything you need is built-in – including a 30-pin connector and USB cable.

It also features two-position charging: in-line use for phone conversations and docking for charge, sync and FaceTime. PowerLift works with most iPhone 4 cases, while the LED battery indicator light tells you how much power you have left.

The PowerLift adds up to 20 hours of music, 5 hours of video, 3.5 hours of talk, and 1.5 hours of FaceTime (based on iPhone 4).

Also going on sale is the Kensington BlackBelt, which wraps an iPad with an industrial rubberised band allowing a secure grip for handling in any iPad orientation. It protects just edges, and cushions the iPad from accidental drops. The BlackBelt protection band preserves full access to all ports, controls and switches and is easily installed and removed.  The soft rubber absorbs shock, whilst being lightweight and low-profile.

Finally, there is Virtuoso Touch Screen Stylus and Pen. When combined with Apps such as SketchBook, iAnnotate and Penultimate, Virtuoso allows users to create, annotate and capture their ideas with a smooth touch tip. On its other end is a ballpoint pen that offers a comfortable grip with Parker ball pen refill.
