Pebble throws stones with new wearable range, takes on Fitbit and the iPod Shuffle

Indie smartwatch manufacturer Pebble has unveiled a new family of fitness focused wearable devices, including its first non-smartwatch product.

Pebble is updating both the original Pebble smartwatch and last year's Pebble Time, with the new products referred to as the Pebble 2 and Pebble Time 2, respectively. The Pebble 2 harkens back to the original Pebble's curved plastic design and uses the same 1.26-inch black and white e-ink display. While it has a similar vibe, the Pebble 2 has a much thinner bezel, making the smartwatch smaller overall. The Pebble Time 2 is more appropriately referred as the successor to the Pebble Time Steel, thanks to its stainless steel frame. Its colour e-ink display has been bumped to 1.5-inches in size, and bezels have also been slimmed down.
