Panasonic Lets You Wear Your 4K Video Recorder

Targeting the same consumer group as Sony’s ActionCam and the Go Pro, Panasonic’s HX-A500 puts a twist to the concept of a rugged, weatherproof cam that records your life’s adventures.

The camera offers 4K video capture at 25fps which is a first in this category of camcorders. It can also record 1080p videos at 50 fps, and 720p at 100fps. The camcorder is also capable of capturing up to 30 minutes of video in up to 3 meters of water in case you trek would require you to cross a pool of water.

The HX-A500 also comes with Wi-Fi and NFC for fast and convenient transferring of files. There’s also a small 1.5-inch LCD monitor at the front of the device, automatic levelling correction, image stabilisation and a Crystal Engine Pro+ video processor to ensure the perfect shot for all your activities and of course the head mounting unit that you can comfortably wear on your head to help you record exactly what you’re seeing.

The Panasonic HX-A500 will be available starting in May for around AU$685.
