Panasonic bringing new everything-proof tough cameras to Australia
Panasonic today announced the Australian availability of the recently announced DMC-FT6 and DMC-FT30 (pictured), the latest devices in its "tough" range of Lumix compact cameras.
The DMC-FT6 is waterproof to 13m, shockproof to 2m, freezeproof to -10 degrees Celsius, dustproof and pressure resistant to 100kg of force. It features a 28mm wide-angle lens with 4.6x optical zoom and 16 megapixel sensor. Additional features include the ability to shoot Full High Definition video, as well as Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity.
The more affordable DMC-FT30 is waterproof to 8m, shockproof to 1.5m, freezeproof to -10 degrees Celsius and dustproof. It features a 25mm wide-angle lens with 4x optical zoom and a 16 megapixel sensor. Unlike the DMC-FT6m, the FT30 doesn't feature any wireless connectivity options.
The DMC-FT6 will be available in May for AUD$399 and the cheaper DMC-FT30 will hit stores in March at a recommended retail price of AUD$249.
