After making its debut at CES last week to much fanfare – the Palm Pre was recognised not only as the best product in the mobile phone and smartphone categories, but was also named “Best in Show” and received the most votes in a “people’s choice” online poll.

It would seem the Pre could go a long way to restoring consumer faith in Palm, who were once the industry leader in the smart phone arena but have since been surpassed by the likes of the Blackberry and the iPhone.

The touch screen Pre with its good looks and smart features looks to be a huge winner for both the consumer and the company.
