Optus has announced that it is now ranging an iPhone 6 compatible model of the Thuraya SatSleeve, a case that adds satellite calling capabilities to smartphones. This allows users to make phone calls, send messages and use data when outside of standard mobile coverage.
SatSleeve is compatible with the iPhone 6, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, iPhone 4, Samsung Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S3. SatSleeve costs AUD$800, and adaptors for compatible handsets are priced at up to AUD$100.
