Chinese manufacturer Oppo isn’t really the most recognisable brand of mobile phones in Australia, but it’s hard to turn a blind eye when you hear its upcoming flagship phone will have a 50MP camera.

Oppo’s Find 7 will reportedly come in two versions, one having a Snapdragon 801 chipset with a quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 5MP camera at the front, and a 50MP camera at the back. There will also be a 5.5-inch 2K display and a removable battery.

On the other hand, the lower spec’d version will have a lower resolution 1080p display, a Snapdragon 800 chipset with 2GB of RAM and a 13MP camera at the back.

The company has already sent invites for its March 19 event. It has even come up with a teaser video which can be viewed in a black pyramid stand that came with the invite. Here’s clip of how one can view the teaser video using the included black pyramid.
