Office 2016 coming to Windows on September 22

Microsoft Office 2016 will be available to Windows users from September 22. Key new features in the upgraded suite include real-time co-authoring, tighter OneDrive integration, and a fresher, more colourful design.

Office 365 Personal and Office 365 Home users will receive access to the new apps from September 22. A single user Office 365 Personal subscription is priced at either AUD$89 per year or AUD$9 per month. This includes three licenses: one for a PC or Mac, one for a tablet, and one for a smartphone.

An Office 365 Home subscription retails for either AUD$119 per year, or AUD$12 per month. This can be installed on five PCs or Macs, five tablets, and five phones.

The Mac version of Office 2016 launched in July in for Office 365 subscribers.

Microsoft has yet to confirm when non-subscription based versions of Office 2016 will be made available.
