Nokia Lumia 1520 Heading To Australia

Nokia’s first official phablet, the Lumia 1520 will soon arrive in Australia exclusively at Harvey Norman.

The 1520 boasts a 6-inch screen with 1080p resolution with the company’s ClearBlack technology. The phablet will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset with a 2.2GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage with support for expansion using a microSD card plus a complimentary 7GB SkyDrive.

At the back of the device is a 20MP PureView camera with autofocus and Zeiss optics with optical image stabilisation. The smartphone also comes with dual-LED flash and is capable of capturing 1080p videos at 30fps with OIS.

Nokia has also added a number of proprietary apps for imaging and navigation. These include Nokia’s HERE navigation suite (Here Maps, Here Drive and Here Livesight plus Nokia Music), the Nokia Camera app and Nokia Storyteller app.

The phablet is now available for pre-order instore or online and will start shipping by 11 December 2013. The device’s RRP is AU$899 and includes a free $20 app voucher for the Windows Phone Store with every purchase until 15 January 2014.
