Camera manufacturer Nikon is making a splash in the Android market with the launch of its new point-and-shoot camera, Nikon Coolpix S800c.

Users may choose from their favourite image sharing application in their Android device to quickly share photos or movies they take through their personal networks via Google+, Facebook and Twitter.

For clarity and colour quality, this WI-FI-ready Nikon Coolpix point-and-shoot line has many other features including a 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor and a 10x optical zoom lens. There is also the 3.5-inch OLED WVGA touchscreen that is claimed to give users great viewing of photos and movies taken. It also sports a 1080p movie capture and it has its inbuilt GPS to allow geo-tagging.

At $349.95 price, the Nikon S800c is set for September launch.
