The next iPhone is scheduled to go on sale in the week starting September 12, according to prolific leaker Evan Blass. Further elaborating on his tweet, Blass says Apple's latest handsets will be likely be available on September 16. Precedent suggests September 16 would make sense, given that iPhones have traditionally gone on sale on Fridays.
Assuming a September 16 release date is true, we can expect Apple to announce the next iPhone in the week starting September 5, and pre-orders to kick off September 9.
Once again, Apple is expected to unveil two new devices; a 4.7-inch iPhone and 5.5-inch iPhone, presumably named the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, respectively. Much of this year's iPhone rumours have suggested the new iPhones will be very similar to this generation in terms of aesthetics, but with cleaner antenna lines. The phones are expected to be thinner, potentially at the expense of a headphone jack. In terms of hardware, better cameras and a faster processor are (obviously) on the cards.
