New Wind Noise Reduction With Jabra Headsets

  • Designed for windy conditions
  • Adjustable ear hook for comfort
  • Utilises Noise Blackout 3.0 technology

Jabra has launched two new additions to its Bluetooth headset range – the Supreme and Extreme 2.
The Jabra Supreme is a Bluetooth mono headset that incorporates Active Noise Cancellation, designed to block out noisy environments for the user.

Active Noise Cancellation uses one dedicated microphone and an electronic chipset to generate an “anti-noise” sound, actively removing ambient noise heard by the wearer, creating a ‘your space, your sound’ experience for the user.

The unit also includes the manufacturer’s latest generation Noise Blackout 3.0 technology to reduce noise transmitted to the person on the other end of the line. These two features combined with Jabra’s new patent-pending Wind-Noise Reduction technology, developed for calls in outdoor, windy conditions, provides users with good sound to improve the call experience for both the person making the call and the person receiving it.

It is equipped with a 24mm speaker and a flipping boom arm that enables users to power on and off by flipping the headset open and closed. An adjustable ear hook and a selection of ear cushions make the unit comfortable to wear and non-intrusive, claims the manufacturer.

Features include:

  • Wind-noise Reduction technology
  • HD Voice technology
  • 24mm speaker
  • Voice Guidance and Voice Controls
  • A2DP for streaming multimedia and GPS apps from a smart phone
  • Connects to 2 Bluetooth devices simultaneously with Advanced Multiuse technology
  • Up to six hours of talk time and 15 days of standby time
  • Weighs 18 grams

Then there is the Extreme 2 Bluetooth headset, which offers good sound clarity by combining the aforementioned Noise Blackout 3.0 technology and High Definition Voice technologies for crisp, high quality sound.

Automatic Volume Control instantly adjusts the headset’s volume to best suit the user’s environment, helping to maintain the natural sound of the user’s voice on every call.

It is designed for wear with or without an earhook so the user can select the fit that suits them. Its Voice Guidance feature walks the user through the set-up and pairing process, as well as communicates caller ID, battery level and communication status through the headset.

The unit includes a portable car charger that doubles as a headset holder. Using no tangling wires, the charger plugs directly into a car’s 12V outlet and the headset simply plugs in for a quick charge.  The design of the car charger eliminates the need for long charging cords.
