New PlayStation 4 update adds support for external hard drives

Sony yesterday launched version 2.50 of the PlayStation 4 operating system, implementing several frequently requested features. Key additions include the ability to suspend and resume a game by putting the PlayStation 4 into Rest Mode, rather than turning the system off entirely; support for external hard drives as back-up devices; and the option to remap the controller's button layout.

Update 2.50 is available to download on PlayStation 4 now.
