Netflix coming to Australia and New Zealand in March 2015

Netflix today announced that it will be launching its popular video streaming service in Australia and New Zealand in March 2015. After months of rumours and speculation, the company has confirmed that it is indeed heading down under.

Content on launch will include Netflix series such Marco Polo and BoJack Horseman, and will expand to include the company's upcoming original programming such as Bloodlines, Sense8, Grace and Frankie, and Marvel's Daredevil. The local Netflix selection will also include original documentaries and stand-up comedy specials.

Netflix will offer high-definition streaming, and 4K where available. As with the company's international offering, the service will be available on smart TVs, tablets, smartphones, computers, set-top boxes and game consoles when it launches locally.

Netflix is currently allowing Australians to sign-up for alerts and updates via its homepage. Once available, users will be able to sign up for a free, one month trial. Local pricing has yet to be confirmed.
