Motorola has just confirmed a few hours ago the arrival of its newest budget Android smartphone – the Motorola Moto E.
The phone sports a 4.3-inch scratch resistant display protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 3. The screen has a qHD resolution and a pixel density of 256ppi. The internals of the Moto E is composed of a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage (2.21GB usable storage) which is expandable via a microSD card.
Motorola has thrown 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS into the connectivity department. The Moto E also has a 5MP camera at the back as well as a 1980mAh battery that should last for an entire day.
The Motorola Moto E runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, but Motorola is promising that it will provide timely updates to future versions of Android, which is actually good given that the Moto E will be offered at a very affordable price point – 160AUD to be exact.
The budget smartphone will be available in India, UK, Brazil, Mexico, Spain and Canada in three different colours – black, turquoise and lemon. There’s no word yet if Motorola will bring the Moto E to Aussie shores, but we’ll keep eye for announcements from Motorola Australia.
