We’ve already seen Tizen work its magic in Samsung’s latest Gear smartwatches but we are yet to see a Tizen-powered smartphone from the Korean tech giant. But according to a recent rumour from a Tizen-centric website in Indonesia says the smartphone might be introduced as early (or as late) as next month.

The phone will initially hit stores in Russia next month, with Brazil and other developing markets to follow shortly. Moreover, the company’s senior VP for Product Strategy Yoon Han-kil said to Reuters that at least two devices – one high-end model and another one for the mid-range market.

However, Tizen smartphones are expected to launch by the second quarter of the year. So even though the device will be unveiled next month, shipping might not start until June.

If in case the Tizen smartphone will ship within the next couple of months, it’s very likely that it will be available alongside the Galaxy S5 premium (codenamed Project KQ).

Also in Samsung’s pipeline for this quarter is the Mini edition of the Galaxy S5 which will have a 4.5-inch 720p display, a quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, an 8MP+2MP camera combo and 16GB of internal storage. Pricing and availability for the Galaxy S5 Mini are yet to be announced.
