Motorola’s first handset release after the Lenovo acquisition should be happening this month but before the announcement is made, here are a few things that have surfaced on rumour land about this upcoming smartphone.

The phone will be called as the Motorola Moto E and features a 4.3-inch scratch-resistant display. Its internals is composed of a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.

Motorola has put a 5MP camera at the back as well as a 1980mAh battery. The phone also packs Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity. The Moto E will be running on Android 4.4 KitKat and will be offered in different colour options including black, turquoise and lemon.

The handset is expected to be announced this week, specifically May 13 in a special event in London.
