The announcement of Apple’s next-generation iPhone is just around the corner and as the date draws near, a lot of information about the device is starting to unravel. In this week’s edition of Mobile Mondays we’ll look at two new sightings of the alleged iPhones.

According to rumours, Apple will be releasing two iPhone models this year; one would be a cheaper plastic model to be called the iPhone 5C and the usual premium model for high-end consumers. According to previous reports, the iPhone 5C will be offered in a variety of colours including green, yellow and red. The handset will reportedly be priced at the $300 range.

Recently, iPhone case-maker ITSKINS posted online images of its Zero 3 lightweight case for the iPhone 5C, which reveals the design of the back of the smartphone. The case is already up for pre-order on the company’s website, which leads a lot of people to assume that the manufacturer has gotten hold of the actual dimensions and design of the smartphone.

Meanwhile, there is also news swirling around rumour land that the premium iPhone model will have a variant clad in gold. Today, we see a new set of images that shows us the frame of the golden iPhone. The images are courtesy of the French website MacBoutic.fr.

Apple has already announced its event on September 10 where people are expecting that either one or both handsets will be launched during the event.
