Move over Apple, according to reports in the Wall Street Journal, Microsoft is planning to offer an online app store for its mobile phone services.

The online store would be for mobiles that run Microsoft’s Windows Mobile operating system. The Wall Street Journal also suggested that Microsoft is expected to unveil the service, codenamed SkyMarket, at the World Mobile Conference in Barcelona this month.

The news follows hot on the heels of last week’s announcement of the Microsoft My Phone service which syncs users’ information such as contacts and calendar from their mobile to a website (password protected of course).
